As I got squelched in my latest attempt to buy a 6/6 CtA (!), I decided to roll them myself.

Bought 3 military picks (cheaper than crystal swords and I didn't want flails - too easy to Confuse with HotO), rolled them once. 5/2, 6/2, 5/3. Ouch. Put the 5/3 to sale, rerolled the two others (yeah, that's bad, but the bases are such a pain to find).

And now... 4/6 and 5/6 ! I am happy now (even if less rich, much less expensive than buying them

)

I know this might not look like much but the devil's in the details:

Werebear (or other lvl 6 skills in general) can only show up on items of ilvl up to 36 but for the base to get 3 sockets as well it has to be ilvl 26 and higher, which leaves you with very limited farming areas of late normal and early nightmare. Noone farms those, so this is basically a lucky find in between leveling chars. Items like this also usually end up not being picked up at all.

TL;DR accidental BiS prebuff Metamorphosis for furydruid. Saves you a skill point in Werebear lol. Took me 3 seasons total, incl. 2 seasons of actively looking for it.

before i do the sale, i will post it here. found some good stuff since i startet playing D2R but this bow takes the whole cake. never was wealthy in this game - looks like this thing is changing that.

Used to be my absolute favorite in D2 actually. Up until RWs sadly rendered it fairly obsolete..

If you're like me, and play solo and have terrible rune luck though, they are still the bees knees haha. Using them on my Wind druid right now. Feel like a kid on xmas day. Love how this game still has things I've never gotten. Thanks for sharing my excitment with me.
