I have not played a Griswold set paladin, so I can't tell you how it would do in isolation.
What build were you thinking about? Hammers? FoH?
But... I am pretty sure, that it cannot hold a candle to a hammerdin with Enigma. MF has diminishing returns, killing speed is mostly the bottleneck.
Could be fun though
Was thinking Zeal or FoH. Never played FoH - seems more a PvP build?

FoH is really fun in the CS, I can highly recommend it, just as Insomnia suggested.
Add in some Holy Bolt and these undead don't stand a chance
So far i have never found anything of any value in cs. No runes above Tal and only legendary or set items so low, that I don‘t even pick them up. And my barb has 340mf and 540mf when horking…

That is rng for you.
My light sorc and hdin both have around 330% mf, are fully decked out, they clear CS super fast.. Never really get high runes on them, they seem find almost everything else though lol.
But my WW barb who is also decked out (dual Grief, Enigma, all the other goodies too), rocking only 132% mf (295% while horking) wins the item finding battle. He has horked Ohm, couple of Jah runes, a Ber, a Lo off diablo all in CS.
I mostly play online on p1 also
MF does have DR. Going from 0% - 200% mf has a bigger increase than going from 200% - 900% MF for unique items
You want to find a happy balance between good kill speed and decent MF
