Description

Commonly used as a starter shield base for the runeword, Ancient's Pledge, as an early way to get resistances on new characters.

You can shop them as early as Act 2 Normal from Fara, resetting her inventory using a waypoint if needed.

Large Shields have a lower strength requirement compared to Kite Shields but as medium shields, they also apply -5% penalty to run speed and stamina recovery.

If you want to minimize putting points in strength or if your character has low strength and you do not mind a 5% movement speed reduction, then this can be your alternative to Kite Shield for Ancient's Pledge in early ladder.
