Heart of Wolverine/Oak Sage

I am currently leveling my first

Werebear and I have been perusing the internet looking at builds and what people go for. It seems like

Maul is the go to ability for the

Werebear at least in pve. That said, I have seen a split decision on HoW(

Heart of Wolverine) and OS (

Oak Sage) . I wanted to open up a forum on here to see what peoples thoughts were.

I currently only have one point in

Oak Sage and have not used any of my rerolls. My initial thought was to try the

Oak Sage route and then switch if necessary but wanted to see what the opinions were. I will say I do like having all that extra health even from a lvl1 OS.

I'd go with the reverse.

More dmg = better. Fact. So HoW = win.

More life = really only better if you for some reason can't stay alive with the life you have (be that a bad build, no gear or whatever). So OS = only win if it is actually needed to stay safe. And even then, the survival aspect would have to be weighed against the survival aspect of HoW because as a phys attacker at least, more dmg + more ar = more leech = more survivability as well.

I like where your head is at. I do have some fairly decent gear so far that I think would lend itself to going HoW.

Exception would probably be Hardcore, where survival is even more critical. And still, with the trend of the

Oak Sage to die extra fast...
