Hey guys, I made a Javazon and have some gear but my main problem to farm good are lightning immun. I really dont know what to do, did like 80 Hell Meph runs on my Sorc and not a Single valuable Item to sell... what should I focus on to farm? some strats etc. Thank you in advise!

Cows maybe?

In your case I'd say Hell Cow runs are ideal, especially if you don't have Infinity/way to break lightning immunes. Javazon's (lighting Fury) are practically made for it.

Doing Meph runs on your Sorc means you're typically looking for unique drops, whereas Cows is a better place to get runes or good base items (which the right item can sell for quite a bit of profit). It has great monster density and MF doesn't matter when it comes to farming runes.

I tend to farm cows as well as
Chaos Sanctuary
. Chaos became considerably more efficient once I got Infinity of course, it's still possible without it you just need a strategy to deal with the light immunes (either ignore them if possible, have a well geared merc, have an alternate attack, etc.)

Have Titans (normal) and
Thunderstroke
currently . Spirit Shield, Ravenfrost,
Razortail
,
Valkyrie Wing
+2, Highlorads Wrath,Laying on Hands, Aldur
Boots
and Treachery in a 302 Def Base..
And okay Tourch with 20/16 and an 10/12/6 Anni

Hell Bovines don't have immunities; only
The Cow King
does, and possibly other uniques depending on enchantments.

Your gear is good enough to farm cows, you can get Tgods, +2 java glove,
Silkweave
if possible. These 3 items give you 5 more level
Lightning Fury
and +mana EK. If you still are lack of mana, Insight on Merc will help.

As for lightning immune unique cows, just ignore them, they don't drop really good items most of time.

Boots
since I need one of them for fire res

Would make it sense to sell my sorc gear? Like 35 Vipermagi, Hoto 33,
Shako
, 34 Spirit and
Magefist
. But then my tele char is gone

I am not Javazon expert, what I am saying is just based on what I saw.
I do 1pp farm most of time, so I don't really feel
Pierce
must have 100%, one hard point in to reach 77% with gear, which is fairly good to take out most of cows in one or two hits.
For cow runs, only lightning res is must, others not THAT important, if you have good mana leech or EK, then
Silkweave
isn't a must have.
I see you want to sell sorc gear, I would say sorc is very good at MFing, even u can just do
The Countess
run, just for
Key of Terror
besides rune drop.
For me, sorc is supporting role to farm gear, rune, base and my Javazon is just play for fun.
One more thing, Javazon is really powerful but also need high end gear to support, as for sorc, basic gear can get you anywhere, full of potential.

Definitely go
Razortail
. And if you have an Insight merc you might not need
Silkweave
if you have e.g. some ML on a ring or the gloves. Then you could use to boot slot to get some fire res or some more MF (and/or you can use charms for that).

i don't understand how sorc is any different from javazon? they both encounter immunes in hell. cold/light
unless you have Infinity, you can't really farm alot of areas.

goodluck, and may the RNG god be with you.

Speaking of immunity, in patch 2.5 Ladder only (maybe offline as well), they introduced sunder GC, which can break mob's immunity down to 95, this make sorc MF much easier.
But my point is as long as you MF with sorc, you can
Teleport
anywhere, doesn't matter what gear you have, make farming relatively easier and safer.

Echoing others but bases are a more reliable source of income than uniques. Cows is definitely the way to go, you don't need any mf, so put on all your best gear and have a party. I would replace
Shako
with Valk Wing for example, the extra frw is nicer than the mf for this scenario.

In terms of lightning immune cows (e.g. the King), you either just run away or let your merc + valk tank them. I prefer running since a) there aren't going to be many lightning immune bosses in there, b) you're going to be running around like a loony anyway in order to herd the cows into massive, delicious clumps, and c) I prefer to go in without a merc or Valk because they tend to mess up my herding.

The only time you will face an issue is if you're unlucky enough to come across extra fast lightning immune bosses, these can be annoying. Otherwise you should be golden! Big packs of cows die so easily to
Lightning Fury
that you don't even need the Insight on your merc.

In terms of your gear, you want +skills. An amulet with +2 ama skills and other mods is going to be better than Highlord's for a lightning Java. Highlord's is really for your melee chars. 2/20 rare gloves or 3/20 magic gloves will be better than
Laying of Hands
. A decent pair of 2/20s will cost a lot but even a rubbish pair will do just fine. You should keep
Razortail
though.

I recommend cows,
Arcane Sanctuary
, nilathatnak, eldritch + shenk, pindle

there are areas with certain immunities. Just google those those areas - or walk through entire game one time and write it down. And then dont go to those areas.

When I begun on nonladder in D2R. I did like 5characters each with different purpose (sorc for
Key
runs, java for nila etc). By the time I was getting richer - I made plenty of characters which can solo every location.

In addition to what was already said, put
Naj's Puzzler
on swap and add The Pit to the mix. Vile Archers are lightning immune so you wanna just skip 'em until you get
Crack of the Heavens
and enough -%enemy light res on gear. Everything else dies in The Pit super easily, and the place is easy to reach. Definitely a great place to farm when you're sick of cows.
