I have been playing POE (path of Exile) since the Death of d2exp.

I find POE trade system really well designed. Please have a look (https://poe.ninja/ ) and see if you could cherry-pick all good elements onto diablo2.io regarding their live market currency and product valuation.

There is no 'currency' planned for the site. It is a bartering market as was intended originally for Diablo 2.

I vote to keep it simple, and not fall into the traps of other old d2 websites. Just friendly chat, and friendly trade!

You guys don't understand what this post is. It's not a suggestion to allow for a "currency" system. The POE currency trade is a way to offer X amounts some some item for X amounts of another (all the various in game currencies). Nothing to do with a site currency like JSP.

It basically allows the market, us the players, to set a real time value against other currencies. For instance an

Ist rune is worth, at the very most, 2

Mal runes because of the cube recipe. Obviously, it trades for a little less than that and what the change suggested allows to happen is for a price to actually settle that traders at large can agree on. Take a look at the site and it should be a bit more clear. In this example,

Ist might settle on

Mal+

Um or even

Mal+

Pul. You can place your

Ist up for sale for more but if supply keeps up with the demand at

Mal+

Pul, your trade never ends up happening.

I do think a cool idea for trading on this site would be some kind of in search of feature for people to search that was separate from what people are offering. For example, say I had a wiz spike I wanted to sell. Instead of posting it for trade someone would post that they want it. Idk if that’s dumb, but I’ve often found myself with item and trying to find the person that wants it rather than posting it and them coming to me, I go to them.
