You get -(45-55) with Infinity.
Crescent Moon + Head Hunter with 3 facets give -50 and +15

Infinity for merc.

Yeah, if you wield the Crescent Moon you naturally give the Infinity to the Merc instead. With self wielded Infinity you give the merc another weapon, like an Insight or Obedience.
I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

The way I figure it is to look up the items that I want on the Arreat Summit Blizzard site, if you notice, your Colossus Voulge requires 210 strength. Unless you put some gear that gives strength, and Act II merc will not naturally have the strength until level 97, you would need an Andariel's Visage to drop that down to level 83. The second link has the mercenary strength requirements calculator.DerTwo wrote: 2 years ago Chaos run finally paid off and dropped a Ber for me. Now I have 2 Ber for Infinity.
Now I have a problem, which base I should use for the Infinity:
1. I've got a superior Mancatcher (11 ed, 12 max dura), non- Eth. I can build a spearazon around it, or run it in merc hands for my lightning sorc.
2. I've got a +3 Matriarchal Spear, too. It is perfect for the spearzon, but my merc cannot use it.
3. I've got a Eth sup Colossus Voulge (11ed, 14 max dura). I can Larzuk it, and create a Infinity for my merc, but I cannot build a spearzon anymore.
4. I can also shop a Eth Mancatcher for my merc.
My priority is to build a character who is capable to crash through Baal. (I haven't got a Griffon's Eye yet). And also try a 2.4 character like Nova sorc or spearazon.
Which way I should go?

Colossus Voulge does the most damage, but a Thresher or Giant Thresher require less strength and are much faster. An Eth Thresher you can start using at lvl 63 as the merc has the strength already without any gear. I feel it is better to start using it earlier than waiting for the perfect deal later.
I dont think any of your options are that great, not for the cost of the runes.
OP
Mancatcher helps hit higher ias breakpoint which result in much better survivalbility. I agree Giant Thresher provide higher damage but my merc already one shot every light immune with MancatcherDimefox wrote: 2 years agoThe way I figure it is to look up the items that I want on the Arreat Summit Blizzard site, if you notice, your Colossus Voulge requires 210 strength. Honestly, the base for Infinity doesn't really matter.
You will kill yourself 90% of monsters or more.
You can't farm effectively if you need your merc to kill 20% of monsters.
But since the runes required are so expensive, people don't want to make/buy an Infinity in "ugly" Battle Scythe.
