From Act 4 to Act 5

Hi, I am kinda newbie but here's my question. After i defeated Diablo in Act 4, the screen shows 30 secs to game end. How do I get to Act 5? I can't any portal or any passage to Act 5? Am i doing something wrong? please help. Thank you.

A second cutscene would normally begin after the first, and you then start in act 5 once that cutscene is completed, unless when you created the character you made it a pre-expansion (there is a separate toggle button in the character creation screen that has to be selected for this), in which case there is no Act 5 (as the game would normally end at 4).

As super-mo said, you created a "Classic" character. There is a "Convert to Expansion" button in the character selection screen on the bottom right under the "Create New" button.

Go back to town and talk to

Tyrael. He then opens a red portal to act 5.

Though if you did create a classic character, you do need to convert it first.

Indeed it is. But once he converts, the question may still remain so I figured the actual answer for that can't hurt.

You know, with all the talk about "dead game" and "It's just a couple of dedicated players, and Leaker, left", it is pretty refreshing to see these sort of posts and questions. There is still a trickle of not just new to D2R folks, but new to the whole game.
