Description

Wind has the unhappy distinction of being nearly the worst possible use for a
Sur rune, second only to creating a "gemmed" item. Because it contains only 2 runes, Wind could theoretically be used in weapon types with exclusively small sprites, such as Katars or Daggers. However, Wind lags behind runewords such as Plague, Chaos, or even Fury; elite uniques such as
Fleshripper; and exceptional uniques improved with Recipe: Elite Version of Unique Weapon such as
Bartuc's Cut-Throat and
Heart Carver.

A possible option for assassin claw as well, Wind still remains unpopular due to the pricey
Sur it involves.

120-160% of enhanced damage is very weak for a
Sur rune. For enhanced damage weapons exists many cheaper and better options.
