First time beating

Baal on Hell mode. Which is the farthest I've ever gotten playing the game! Really excited to see what he'd drop as I know quest kills drop rate increases. Here's what it was... this and 14k gold. How depressing

Baal every other day and his drops are generally not the best, although I got 2

Meph drops better than this! LOL I was just disappointed because it was a first time quest kill. Was hoping for MUCH better. Oh well. All praise be to the RNG gods...

It is all slot machine architecture! Just keep killing the demons and you will gain strength.

RNGesus can be brutal. It's a numbers game. You have to farm him hundreds, if not thousands of times before you can "guarantee" a decent drop. Even then, it's still not guaranteed, just an increased probability.

Baal is truly the end boss. If he dropped sick loot, you'd beat the game. But instead, he laughs in your face, lures you into a room with a bunch of tentacles and maybe 2k gold around the room, and then drops trash. It's the final insult. It's how you know you'll never truly beat the game. It will always beat you.

Baal runs with nothing to show for it. His last drop consisted of three piles of gold, an

Antidote Potion and a blue

Breast Plate (ethereal, of course). Upon seeing that I couldn't help, but blurt out 'Thank you,

Baal! Next time why don't you just piss in my face?' Then I had to explain to my husband that I did not pick up some disgusting

Baal is a loser. He drops nada 99% of the time.

I posted it in another thread but to make you feel better I just made myself "go broke" crafting an ethereal Breath of the Dying Beserker

Axe and it rolled 351%ED which is 1 better than the absolute minimum. This game can be a beatdown sometimes!

Just out of curiosity, are you sure you got gold from the

Baal drop? gold and scrolls should not be included in the quest drop table - in fact, a drop with no gold or scrolls is usually seen as "confirmation" that it is a quest kill and not an ordinary kill. Think this could be a bugged drop?

5 TP? Sweat. Once he dropped 6 TP. Couldnt believe it. Since then, only killing him for story progress.
