Does bugged Baal not drop essences?

If you quest bug

Baal

• open a game with a char who has killed
  Baal
• kill
  Baal with a char who hasn't killed
  Baal yet

does

Baal not drop essences? I'm just over 120 runs in and haven't seen one drop yet.

yep he does. I got two drops once from him, I was wondering if bugged

Baal drops more. Sounds like you have had very bad luck

After playing D2 for so many years, I have already made Peace with my luck =P

Now I believe that if you really really really want something, the best way to get it, is to not think about it. LOL
