The Runeword Passion (weapons with 4 sockets) grants a lvl 1 Zeal Oskill.
Oskills can be used by any class, but the skill level bonus is limited to 3 levels for the native class. Oskill levels can be increased like native skill levels, including "+skill (native class only)" bonuses.
Points in Sacrifice increase the damage of the Zeal skill more than points into Zeal itself. However, points into Zeal will provide a bonus to attack rating, which the Sacrifice synergy will not.
