I know full well that you were never able to upgrade set items back in the day. However, between the lead-up to D2:R and now, I've read on multiple occasions from various sources that SUPPOSEDLY you now can. Except nearly noone mentions how. The only reference I've ever seen as to the "how" was claiming it uses the same cube recipes as Uniques. That however, I can sadly confirm is not true. At least not the Exceptional to Elite Weapon one.
So with that...is the claim that we can actually upgrade Set items now even true or did that just end up being a rumor that went wild? If it is true after all, anyone happen to know the recipe(s)?

I suppose the patch 2.4 preview answers this:
"New Horadric Cube Recipes being implemented will allow for upgrading the item quality of Set Items to give more item build possibilities."
So..not a baseless rumor but not implemented quite yet.
