Good day. Returning player from a long time ago, been playing on Switch, offline, non-ladder. Got decently lucky after weeks and found 2 Gul and Mal runes... so I decided to make a couple Mosaic since they're no longer limited by ladder.
Without dual Mosaic, if I used Dragon Talon with 3 kicks, it would set off all 3 novas from Phoenix Strike. I notice that with how Mosaic works, it only sets off 1... depending on how many charges you have. Do any of the other Charge skills work like this? Example, Claws of Thunder, if I have all 3 charges, does it only release charged Bolts and only Nova if I have 2? Blades of Ice?
Trying to get a rhythm going with my charges.

Can be used to make Runewords:
They mostly all work the same way.
As you Charge up, you have x charges. Let's just say all 3 for simplicity.
The number of charges dictates what happens.
With Phoenix Strike for example, at 3 charges, you get the Chaos Ice Bolt.
Now, if you use a finisher without Mosaic, every hit procs your charges and then drops them by one. So..
kick 1 = 3 Charge Phoenix procs Chaos Ice Bolt, Charge is lost and charges drop to 2
kick 2 = 2 Charge Phoenix procs Chain Lightning, Charge is lost and charges drop to 1
kick 3 = last Charge on Phoenix procs the Meteor, Charge is lost and you drop to 0
further kicks = no charges left, nothing is procced, need to go recharge again first.
With Mosaic, you simply never lose any charges. So..
kick 1 = 3 Charge Phoenix procs Chaos Ice Bolt, no Charge is lost
kick 2 = 3 Charge Phoenix procs Chaos Ice Bolt, no Charge is lost
and so on and so forth.
You only lose charges if they time out because you're not hitting anything to keep them refreshed.
Other Charge up skills follow the same Pattern.
As a result of that, if you prefer a 2- Charge effect over a 3- Charge one (e.g. Chain Lightning over Ice Bolt for Phoenix), you have to make sure to only hit twice with the Charge up so you don't go to 3 as you'll never drop from 3 back down to 2 with mosaics.
The only ones where it works differently is the ones where all charges "work together". Blades of Ice for example, going from 'dmg' to 'dmg in a radius' to 'freezing dmg in a radius'. In that case, all charges apply.

Yep
Only Phoenix Strike you may want less that 3 charges (level 2 is the most used with Mosaic because of the AoE)
(for all the other Charge skill, level 2 includes the effects of level 1, and level 3 include the effect of level 2 - and level 1)

I do 2 charges of Phoenix Strike and 3 charges of the other 5 (Ice, Fire, Lightning, Physical, Leech).
