Mosaic - is it better to not charge Tiger Strike x weak mobs?

Description

Hi

I just started playing with Mosaic assassin a few weeks ago.

I was wandering if, when I'm facing weak mobs, would be better to not charge Tiger Strike 🤔

From what I understand Dragon Talon kicks will only trigger charges when they hit, so if the main target die in the middle, less kicks will hit...
And Tiger Strike increase the damage against the main target (and only against him), so it will die quicker with Tiger Strike charges, which would result in less charge triggers, and so, would decrease my overall AoE damage 🤔😓

Are you doing Phoenix Strike?

On my Mosaic I only ever do 2 Phoenix Strike and 3 Cobra Strike. And that clears everything except Baal and ubers in 1 Dragon Talon cast

Tiger Strike gives the least value out of Phoenix Strike, Claws of Thunder, Blades of Ice, and Cobra Strike.
Fists of Fire is arguable based on the leech issue

As I'm still adapting to the play pattern and have to re-charge sometimes during my farm 😓😓, so I'm currently sticking to a little set of charges: I "pre-buff" just Phoenix Strike and Claws of Thunder and the rest, I charge during the farm if I feel the need 🤔😉
If I have an opening, like very small groups, sometimes I get Blades of Ice or Fists of Fire charges for extra damage.
Many immunes, I sometimes get Fists of Fire charges.
Losing much life, I get Cobra Strike charges.

But my question about Tiger Strike is more a curiosity 🤔, I saw some guides including it on the "pre-buff" (and sometimes even recommending maxing it 🤔), but on paper seems to me that you would ended up with less AoE damage as the main target will die faster (and so less kicks will hit/trigger chargers...) 🤔🧮

Fists of Fire converts 3% * level physical damage to fire.
So it reduces your physical damage and so your leech.
To the point that at level 34+ you deal no physical damage (so... No leech at all)
Some builds put just 1 point or don't even charges it because of that.

Yes, indeed!
First time I maxed it up and ended with no leech. Then I respeced and put only one point (ended with 24 after all the skillers and items).

As for finishing move I used Dragon Talon, also with only one point (also 24 in total).
At level 24 it has 5 kicks. If you put more points it grows the number of kicks and you get stuck on animation time. With so much damage done the target dies very quickly and if you kick 8 times you lose time while animation is going on even the target is done long ago.
So I kept minimum kicks with just one point on Dragon Talon. I played with both 8 and 5 kicks and 5 is more than enough. 8 kicks slows you down.

I used to Charge all the skills and played with it. It felt weird at the beginning but with a little practice all went smooth.

The day for Shadow Blade to reach her Level 99 has come.
She wears it proudly, sweeping all the enemies in seconds. She's also having some Ubers trophies at her belt.

Gameplay was a bit annoying at the beginning due to high number of hotkeys / spells that I had to press until I got fully charged but I managed to rearrange them from F1 - F10 and F, G and H.
I didn't use so much with previous characters: Sorceress, Paladin and Amazon. But I got into a routine and then was all smooth sailing.

F1 - Dragon Talon - Finishing move
F2 - Teleport

F3 - Phoenix Strike
F4 - Cobra Strike
F5 - Claws of Thunder
F6 - Tiger Strike
F7 - Blades of Ice
F8 - Fists of Fire

F9 - Burst of Speed
F10 - Fade

At start I Charge F3 with two strikes to stay on lightning damage and then from F4 to F8 with three strikes. Then Fade for extra protection and here we go.
I manage to fill all charges within one session and then F1 to finish, then F2 to Teleport to other enemies, F1, then F2, F1, F2 and so on. Easy peasy :)
