- Death Mark. There is no comparison. Any drawback about playing a summoner before has been eliminated with this skill. So far I am using it as a one-point wonder, not for the damage. The ability to relocate your summons with no CD and basically no mana cost, is a breath of fresh air. No more weird maneuvering, recasting, or being forced to have Teleport yourself, to get your summons where you want them. Places like Maggot Lair are a nightmare with a Skelliemancer or Zookeeper. Not to mention sniping Shamans, Unravelers, and other casters. This skill single handedly, in my opinion, makes this character stand out as a summoner.
- Awesome visuals. I really like the spell effects, and having a Dagger floating around while carrying a book in your offhand just looks slick for a caster, compared to Sorceresses just wacking away with their staff.
- Death Mark. Yeah.
- As far as I can see, there looks to be quite some variation in builds. As this is a new class, at the moment I am assuming every sort of build is viable enough. For instance: fire spells with an innate -% fire res is just awesome. Magic damage with still the least amount of resistance against that in the game? Yes, please.
- Did I mention Death Mark?
- It almost is TOO good. The other classes are now basically screaming for a much needed modernization. For instance, on first sight, Warlock trumps Necromancer in all aspects.
- Speaking of which, the look and feel is a bit too close. It looks like an updated Necromancer model with different clothes. Even the voice is practically the same.
- Some of the floaty weapons are not suited for floatyness and look just weird.
- Needs more tooltip information. For instance, the summons have hidden abilities ( Frenzy for Goatmen, the fire res from the Tainted is actually an aura, ...). Small gripe, as I'm sure this will be public information soon.
