First Uber attempt

Ok, I'm in the event now and I've taken Izzy down pretty quick but here's my question...I've created a private game in the event I get clapped so I can recover my body but if I save and exit right now, will it resume where I left it, with the 3 portals open and one mini uber taken out? Also, will the Furnace of Pain regen and reroll the demons in there? I was hoping to see some White pit lords in there to bind but there weren't any

yes it will resume where you left it, but do not make a new game or join another game and then rejoin your uber game.

Exit and rejoin without joining any other game.

I beat them twice tonight and on my second run, I scored the lock torch I've been needing with a 17/15 roll. Not too bad

I's sure it felt very good seeing you can beat them after worrying about this.
And your second run with your desired torch is awesome. Middle+ roll is even better.

Thanks! Yeah the dopamine hit was pretty awesome when I saw that +3 Warlock. The first torch was a 17/18 Necro, which was also a really strong roll.

I had a pretty solid strategy thanks to you guys but man did I underestimate Lilith. Boy she's one nasty bitch lol

Are you running Ubers on your Warlock? If so, you may wear Marrowwalk and cast Bone Prison on Lilith. Keep her trapped, and you can DPS away.

Yes, the charges are repairable.

Life Tap could help melee merc survive Lilith a bit better as well, if she gets in range.

I can kill the dclone pretty easy with my lvl 92 blizzard sorc so I thought I’d try my luck with Lilith and boy was I wrong
Still have a long way to go

I'd like to try lock vs ubers so I'm looking into what is viable and what's not

Of course. Lvl95 Abyss-lock summoner with the following gear...

Enigma (switch to Treachery for Faith proc then switch to Chains of Honor for max res of 300+)
Obsession
Ars Meph but use a pretty wicked yellow book that gives +32 all res and +5 to Abyss among other things
Thundergod's Vigor
Harlequins Crest but swap out for Flickering Flame
Chaos Wraithstep
Raven Frost
Stone of Jordan
a +3 Chaos ammy

On switch, I have Call To Arms and Spirit

I have Abyss, chains and bind all maxed out in the skills tree but buff my demon with another +5 with other gear and skillers at the beginning of each game then switch back into uber gears.

My demon. at the time, was a cursed Hephasto with Holy Freeze with fire and lightening immunities but during the first run, after I got into Tristram, I consumed my Heph and bound one of those rainbow Pit Lords to finish off Baal and Diablo.

The second run, the Pit Lord wasn't getting it done against Lilith so I consumed him and found another Heph in the RoF to finish out the event. Those Pit Lords do almost zero physical damage

The next run I plan on using Marrow Walk as Bisu suggested. I'm still on the fence about the Pit Lord but I'm going to test it out again. My next goal is the ancients so I'm still trying to decide what demon to take in there with me to facetank

Marrowwalk works nicely against Lilith for chars with high damage ranged attacks, such as Fire Sorc, Echoing Strike or Fire Warlocks.

As to Abyss builds, one crucial thing to test is that if the Bone Prison would interfere with Miasma Chain. If it blocks your ability to spam cast the chains towards Lilith, then using only Abyss likely won't produce enough DPS to take her down. Please be sure to test this out on some regular mobs first.

One alternative approach is by utilizing the Life Tap charges to help your merc and demon survive the fight. You may also want to use Engorge for your demon right before the fight to boost him up.

That's the one thing I didn't use, my Life Tap Wand. I guess I was too amped up to remember I had it lol

I wonder if it would work by anchoring them at the base of BP then teleporting over the target

Marrowwalk has level 12 Life Tap, which lasts for 42 seconds. Wearing the Boots and you won't have to swap to a Wand anymore, making things easier.

It is difficult to fight Lilith while being amped. You can trap her with Bone Prison, then proceed to kill all the adds around her so no more amp curse casters. Go back to town to cleanse the curse, and then come back to Life Tap Lilith and fight her straight up.
