Not sure exactly why you're after Dream but I can say for sure that you're not getting the runes for it from The Countess 
Not the Jah at least. Countess can drop up to Ist form her regular TC and up to Gul from her monster TC. But these kind of drops would be extremely rare. Getting anything past Fal in less than 20 runs would be lucky I'd say

As for Rain, do not make it. This is a waste of a Mal rune. Many many better armors to wear for a druid depending on your build and stats.
Tell me exactly how you're building your skills out and if you want to be tank/glass cannon ext.

Rain is probably better but not worth the Mal imo. You can do almost the same with Lore for much cheaper. I only need the shield cause i have a unique swoird with +3 to fire skills. forgot its name..
so I'll get +5 to my skills with just the shield.
I guess i'd want a Helm with +skills and a body armor.. that way i can get around 9 total?

I was stupid i threw down a shield with 4 sockets cause i didn't have room. so silly.
Rain is +2 and Lore is +1, so its at least around 20% less damage, if we consider the synergies and the skill itself lvl up.

I do not pick monarchs off the Ground anymore and I am sure other people do not as well.... i was wondering if those Bone shields/elite types don't have 4 sockets as well? they have even less str req.
i saw on google that Aegis shield is that Bone Shield, but i think it's another name now.
also I got that recipe for adding sockets-so if i get like 2 sockets from cube, and then go to lazurk from act5, i can get it to 4?

no, you can't use laz to socket an item with sockets already. you have to get a new base. laz will automatically give you the max sockets avail to the item based on the ilvl (determine by what dropped it).rikus wrote: 3 years ago hmm, that's very kind of you Banjo.

Just a suggestion, but remember, Countess will always drop runes, yes. But runes cannot be influenced by MF, so all that matters is how many chests are you opening, how many monsters are dropping.
With that in mind, Cows are a great rune farming place, not to mention the likelihood of getting the base items for Runewords here is higher than anywhere else.
Not saying that's what you should do, but farming if less monotonous if you do a variety of things. Breaking it up can make things much more fun.

No, Bone shields cannot get 4 sockets. Neither can their elite version ( Troll Nest).
True, Larzuk does always give you the max sockets. But that's max for that specific item, not that item type. So using a Troll Nest for example, you would only get 3 sockets because it is a Troll Nest and not 4 "because it is a shield and there can be 4 socket shields".
The only shields (excluding paladin shields) that can get 4 sockets are Monarch, Aegis and Ward. Out of those, Monarch has by far the lowest strength requirement which is why nearly everyone uses that one as a base for Spirit.
Other than that, I believe it was already mentioned, but no, you can't take your 2-socket cubed shield to Larzuk. Once you socket it via the cube, that's it. No Larzuk and no further cube attempts. You either get lucky and get the sockets you need (between 1 and the max for that specific item) or - if you want the max - just go to Larzuk right away to be safe.

Player count will influence the frequency of drops, but runes are a unique treasure class, apart from the size of the game, every monster apart from The Countess has an equal chance to drop a rune. The only other rune guarantees are The Hellforge and Quel-Kehk quests.
