Prayer Waheed being too suicidal even with tp from eni.
Every 2nd t5 harold is gets him goofed, or barely standing, with one health if lucky enough.
Merc weapon is good rolled Insight in Eth Thresher, merc Helm is Cure in Eth Demonhead.
What can i put on his armour to make him tankier? (He is currently with Eth Treachery).
Whats comes on my mind first is either Chains of Honor in big Eth base, or upped Eth Shaftstop (what to socket? Um? Skull? dont want to waste Ber on that).
What do you think? Maybe there is a better options? Maybe a CB armour socketed with a Skull? Honestly i dont really need lots of dps off merc, but good CB is always awesome.

What is your main character type, and also what level is the merc currently?
I did CoH on my Merc and its great, I didn't make it Eth as I couldn't bear to spend the high cost of CoH and only be able to use it for Mercs. I am also single player offline, so trading isn't an option.
I have a Cure Helm on him and Reaper's Tool when I need Decrpify or Insight when I need Mana or Infinity when I need Conviction

Chains of Honor because your other gear doesn't have life leech. Also the +2 skills will increase Prayer output.

It clears out Amplify Damage quickly, which is quite helpful if you go from mob to mob quickly. When merc dies, usually Amplify Damage is present.
With characters that clear quickly and Stun like Nova sorc and fire WL, my merc pretty much never dies, but I have found my ES WL (good damage but no Stun) merc does die a bit more often than I would like. Usually only to a Herald, and it's not that common. Amp damage is almost always at play. Also merc is running Pride which is low damage output.KaptPotatoes wrote: 1 month ago
I'm running Eth Shaftstop for him, but not 100% positive if that is best. Haven't socketed yet, would either do Um or Ber if I did. Other contenders would be Treachery, CoH, and Gladiator's Bane.
I've also toyed with the idea of using a Protector's Stone in the socket for the 1% chance to cast Fade.
besides that, Cure also synergy with Prayer (and mb Meditation too, not sure). Ie ur Prayer heal u 20 per tick, with Insight 40 per tick, with Cure 60 per tick. Thats it.

Realistically I'm not sure you can guarantee a survive for your merc with t5 heralds. You just have to res them.
Because you can't reliably predict what damage type the next Herald will deal, any advice on what types of items to equip onto your merc are largely useless. The only reliable way of keeping your merc alive against Heralds is through good use of Teleport by repeatedly repositioning your merc away from danger. This strategy is only effective if you're playing a ranged build where you can maintain your DPS. A summoner necro/druid would be worst-case for this.
This is where I advise thinking unconventionally. A2 is not the only merc available. A1 Rogue Scouts tend to survive 90% of encounters without any assistance by the player if you are melee or summoner.
