23 Nihlathak runs without a key

Is this normal? Someone told me on YT, that you get every 14 runs a

Key.

And is it normal to get one-shot by vipers, although I have

• 90% poison resitance
• 8636 defence
• 9 damage reduce
• 11 magic damage reduce
• 11% damage reduce
• 60% faster block
• 75% block chance

If the number 1 in 14 is accurate (and we leave out the minimal chances for two or even more keys at a time) I think the probability to NOT get a

Key in 23 runs should be (13/14)^23 which is approximately 18%. So yes. This is probability at work.

About the vipers: they just suck, ignore them if you can or quit as soon as you see them

The issue with vipers is that you get dealt 40 PHYSICAL DAMAGE every frame you get through the cloud. That means that if you walk through the cloud for a second (30 frames), you get a massive damage to you DIRECTLY, regardless of your poison res.

Thus, your best option is to wear 2 nature Peace rings (reducing each of them about 8 physical damage) and some other physical damage reduction gear. This will substract the 40 per frame directly, making you more solid against vipers.

Also nature Peace rings prevent monster revival, so

Corpse Explosion does not happen, making the runs safer.

Also only run nilli if you get full rejuvenation potions in case he corpse explode any mob killed by your merc.

Sol runes also give damage reduction if you can socket some of them. Thats the setup I use to run nilli.

I did about 50 summoner runs in a row once without a single

Key of Hate. Sometimes you just get unlucky.

Nihlathak has been much better to me, but I do get some dry runs every now and then. If it makes you feel any better RNG can go the other way too. One time I got two double

Key drops in 3 runs.

Oh and as Aegis200 said, the viper "poison" is bugged. It's actually physical and the more you move the more damage it does, so don't run through it.

Key of Terror drop... Plenty of regular Keys, for chests, though.

I think she's taunting me.

Believe me, I'm not giving up. Countess farming on Switch is my personal Cure for insomnia, so the actual drops don't really matter.

The issue I have is that I have run past the 1000 mark, getting my sorc to level 91 just on countess alone.

Cows only have droped me up to

Mal, even though I have done 100 runs so far. I undertand that is still not statistically significant, but I can feel the pain.

Not to 1-up you, but i did nearly 40 runs before i got one

Key of Destruction to drop. The 1 in 14 chance is just the probability. So every single time its a 1:14 chance, not that every 14 runs you get a key.

no this is absolutely not normal and you should tell your mom instantly!!

The Summoner didn't give me a single

Key since yesterday.

Nihlathak gave me 7. I did the same number of runs for both.

Have no merc, but he does still explosions even with the nature ring, because he kills some monsters himself: those with the red back.

About the demage reduction: what is better 11 or 11%?
