For rare weapons to be useful they need to also have high %ED as well as IAS. Preferably with sockets and additional damage in the hundreds.

You're also looking for weapons with lower strength and dexterity requirements.

Hydra Edge has is really high for both.

Here's some random rares i found that are great for leveling my melee alts. But become useless pretty quickly in late NM since they don't have %ED.

That weapon would be a decent melee PvP weapon for a Zealer if it was

Eth, high ED (max is 300% on those), and preferably 40ias. Two additional mods that would make it even more valuable would be repair durability and 2 sockets. For a melee, the strength and dexterity requirements wouldn't really be a problem. Unfortunately, as the weapon stands it's not really of any use.
