But it's a PC-first experience. For example there's still an inventory grid, there's still inventory tetris. That's core to what Diablo 2 is. Taking that away? it starts to become something different.

For the most part how the game thinks you're still using a keyboard and mouse with a controller. That was almost a rule we kept that helped keep us on the rails. Because we didn't want to be sacrificing that authentic experience. But we did want to make it more accessible, bring it to a modern audience.
There are people who were born after this game came out who we want to enjoy it and play it and a lot of those people are used to just more modern titles that could use a controller. Two big things - one is you're changing the way you play the game from being an eye in the sky and telling your hero what to do by clicking on areas, to actually being your character and directing them.

Blizzard wrote: So pathfinding is gone (on controller) because you're doing the path finding, which creates interesting things. For example the Sorceress' Teleport is suppose to Teleport to wherever you click.
So in that area, when you're playing on the console, we will have a default distance that you will Teleport to. Whereas on the PC you can click wherever you want. Same with Barbarian's Leap, although that one's interesting because it levels.

Note also that accessibility changes made by Blizzard mean that you may be able to use your keyboard and mouse with console versions of the game.Nice point on accessibility uses of the controller. Like how the focus was brought back to the PC rendition swiftly though
