I was solo leveling in

Chaos Sanctuary on Bnet on my WW barb with around 172% MF when this happened.

Silospen drop calc gave me a 1:2,544,117 chance to drop from a

Megademon (Venom Lord) in

Chaos Sanctuary.

The Seal Boss Super Uniques & Diablo are unable to drop Griffon's Eye non-terrorized. Lord De Seis and Infector's minions are capable of dropping Griffon's Eye, but not Grand Vizier's. All over standard Elites (Champions/Uniques) and white mobs are capable of dropping it.

As of patch 2.6, Assassin traps do benefit from -% to enemy resist, making Griffon's a great end game option for lightning trapsins.

Note that this is not currently working offline owing to a bug according to the latest 2.6 patch notes:

- The Assassin's trap skills now benefit from -% to Enemy Resistance.
- Please note that the above bug fix went live with Patch 2.6 but encountered an unexpected issue. We have deployed a hotfix that amends this issue for online play. We are currently reviewing the build and will amend this bug for offline play at a later date.

Incomprehensibly, I actually got

Griffon's Eye from Diablo. I don't know how to prove that statement, but I actually did, and I was absolutely taken aback, as Silospen gives no chances of getting it there, and so does this page's comment say that Diablo drops no diadems. Apparently, he does, but it seems the chaches are abysmal. I registered the account just to share this odd drop. The

Diadem is 19 13 Btw.

Th3ory: The only way that could have occurred was with Chaos being Terrorized enabling him to 'group upgrade' to a higher TCEX. Diablo's standard TC caps at 84 and Diadems sit in TC87.

Got my first Griffon! So happy! TZ countess p3 88lvl Pally with 100mf. Actually few runs before Gheeds dropped with 40mf! Chillin on da sofa playing hammerdin on modded switch with 60 fps! Diablo 2 <3
