Does d2 reinstall increase drop rate?

I am curious if anyone tried reinstalling this game and his droprates increased afterwards? Because something has to be broken with my installation.

In 1000 Travincal runs 1 Lem and 1 Vex, one mediocre sc. No worthy uniques nor jewels nor charms. Now run another 250 runs, 1 Pul and nothing else.

Not just Travincal. Not just solo. Online split farms, this game just drop big nothing for me. Chaos Sanctuary nothing, cows nothing, wsk nothing. Every where i go game drops Nothing worthy.

Game drops Sacred Targe it has 10 all res. Game drops Aerin Shield it has 45 all res. I dont believe in bad luck.

Do you believe in magic, spirits, and rituals?
Knock on wood three times to avoid bad luck?
Throw salt over your shoulder when speaking ill of the dead?
Read your horoscope in the morning to align your actions with the prognosis?
Laying tarot cards before making major decisions?

If it helps you sleep better at night, why not reinstall the game, then.

What levels are your chars? I went a month without any notable drops (oct - nov) until the dry spell was broken with a Vex.

1000 Trav runs is not that many runs. How much MF are you using?

Speaking of rituals, whats yours to get better droprates

Currently i have 211% MF.

There has to be something wrong. My friend playing the game, his droprates are nothing special, but compared to him i need at least 3 times more runs to get what game dropped him.

What class are you using to farm Travincal?

Also, don't compare yourself to others. Is not healthy, more so in a game akin to a slot machine.

Or, more accurately, it never was your friend to being with, it just threw you a Bone on a particular day on a specific time totally by random.

For me personally with my bowazon (my 1st character to reach hell), I've had decent luck finding my own gear to keep me going ( Kuko Shakaku, Razortail, Demon Machine, Laying of Hands, various useful rares, Raven Frost, Biggin's Bonnet, Goldwrap, x5 Chance Guards, Buriza-Do Kyanon etc.), but when it comes to runes, I seem to be cursed. 4 months of play, and the highest I get is one Gul rune. Granted, half of the 4 months was spent in NM and below, but now in hell, I keep coming across Lem, Mal, Pul and nothing else except lesser runes than those. I'm hoping to change my luck by farming more Chaos, Trav, and A5, but that's been my results so far.

Dry spell looks like more than a superstition now you said that.. Hope you get better luck and find some good stuff ! keep going, cuz if you stop, you have 100% chance of no drop :p

Ignoring the fact that this is RNG at work (for everyone getting 5 Ber in one day, someone else gets 2 Scrolls of Town Portal :p), IF reinstalling the game had any effect whatsoever, that'd imply your drop odds aren't tied to your b.net account but to your local installation. You better believe that if that were the case, someone would've long since figured out how to tweak drop rates for instant drops of everything.

Having said that:
You're not alone, don't worry. I've gotten hardly anything noteworthy in days either. Like..not even essences. ~~
