Before anyone says it, I know there is no intrinsic value in this helmet. My question instead is, is there any use-case to favor this over Arreat's Face? Presumably I will land more hits at the expense of stats/all resistances? Thanks.

I do believe arreats better. Its also gives flat dex, which is flat ar. And all increases are borderlane useless, if u dont have a solid flat ar values.
If u got both, check the diff in values, but im still believe arreats skills, resists, stats, and leech are weight far more.

I'm inclined to think you're correct. Forgot that dex add flat AR. Oh well, back to the grind!
The high AR on your helmet is not bad. But that's about it. +skills have smaller effect on a barb than on a caster build. And look what Arreats offers: FHR, life leech, all res, dex, str and more +skills. So many great stats on one helmet. Only very few ultra expensive rare helmets can compete.

When you have enough discipline, may start some "up to rare only" Chars. Then you dont need to compare gear like this with Uniques and Runewords anymore. Its not that easy in hell later on, but it brings another layer of excitment to your game, when stuff like this drops. I may have 4 or 5 full Mules with rare Items and another full one just with blue Rare Items, to make even more restricted rare blue Builds. Its a fun variation of the game to flee the already well-worn trails.

I think visio is more for PvP, for PvM griefs have ITD. It doesn't work on bosses, but cb sure does, and they're a small percentage of the time spent on a cbaal run anyway. My WW barb uses gface for the delicious cb / ds, I think arreats is more for when you're still gearing up.
