Has anybody theory-crafted out how the new items with additional magic damage and minus enemy magic resistance will affect hammer and FoH paladins? It seems like there's a good boost to be had in the right combination.

Does FoH care? 
More often than not, the limiting factor for FoH is a larger single target as Bolts are complete overkill anyways. So lightning more so than magic. Wouldn't consider dropping any light dmg just to buff the Bolts even more (so no magic dmg/-res over skill pts).
Hammerdin could likely use some adjustments though I can't say I've looked into those. Not a build I ever enjoyed.
Far more importantly though, the new additions open up whole new avenues for Bone locks!

Hellwarden's Will with Guardian's Light will be the new BiS for Hammerdin for sure. Adds about 30% dmg increase to hammers.
Other than that Renewed Black Cleft with up to +15% magic damage is nuts.
Double The Stone of Jordan can be swapped for Opalvein + Sling for fun. Damage stays the same but allows you to have a non- Caster Amulet. So like MF or Mara's Kaleidoscope instead, or even The Cat's Eye for frw in town and 25 dex.
Gheed's Wager over Arachnid is fine too. And you will be able to switch out Heart of the Oak for a +15% magic damage Void without losing much anythig and gaining some more damage.
