act 2 merc damage question

I have a dummy question about my merc damage and how its is calculated

Merc: act 2 NM (freeze)

weapon:

Eth

Thresher with Insight (239 ED, 203 bonus AR, 2 critical) . The tooltip marks 70 to 715 dmg
armor:

Eth

Lacquered Plate Fortitude

Mask:

Tal Rasha's

Mask

in town, the merc damage says 874 - 4824

My pala has

Concentration lvl 27

in field, the merc damage says 1468 - 8352
eventually the freeze aura wil trigger and damage final will be 1593 - 8482

I cannot read the damage info in equipment and start in 715 and finish in 8352/8482.
Does anyone know how its done?

First thing : never trust the information provided by the d2 screens.

800*4=3200 dam in town
lvl27 conc=450%ed,
800*8.5=6800 dam in field

About the max damage (min damage will be similar).

715 = 1.5*141*(1+2.39) is the base damage of your weapon.
141 is max base damage of

Thresher
1.5 for Ethereal base
2.39 is ED from Insight

Merc has his own base dmg (max = 78) so the base damage is = 715+78
In field, there are:
Fortitude => 300% ED
LVL 27

Concentration = > 450% ED
Merc's strength, assuming 180 => 180% ED
The damage is now (1+3+4.5+1.80)*(715+78) or about 8352.

Holy Freeze add cold damage to gives the final number about 8482!

EDIT : Forgot that Insight has adds 30 fire and 75 poison damage
So (1+3+4.5+1.80)*(715+78) + 30 + 75 about 8352
