It's worth noting that the 'Fires Magic

Arrows' mod on the bow only works for normal attacks, so it wont work when using skills. It does however fire the

Magic Arrow skill without paying the mana cost and converts 20% of the physical damage to magic damage, which helps against physical immune monsters.

As of Patch 2.4, the "Fires Magic Arrows [Level 20]" attribute on

Witchwild String converts 43% of the physical damage of all generic Attacks into magic damage. This can be useful in those exceedingly rare cases where

Amplify Damage is insufficient to break a monster's immunity to physical damage.

This is a nice bow for leveling, even if kept on a weapon swap with something else as your main. Being that it can be useful in killing physical immunes or targets with high defense helps a lot, plus it grows as you level! This is important because it can be upgraded to elite, and eventually it will do much more damage with a high deadly strike percentage. As an end game bow I believe there are better options, however as others have said the sockets and resists can be nice! It has a lot going for it and is absolutely worth using for leveling, as weapon swap for certain targets or as an example if there are enemies that cast lightning that do a lot of damage.
