Description

Pretty much the only non-Spirit option for your abyssal magic warlock, since magic damage and -magic resist didn't exist before version 3.0 (and leaving hammerdins and boners to fend for themselves). Boasts some magic find on top over Spirit's vitality and mana.

Up to -20% magic resist is possibly the biggest single damage bump your warlock can get.
Resists can be offset with a socketed

Level 28 Blizzard, without synergies, deals 990-1047 cold damage per hit. Enemies that stay in the spell's radius will take an average of 3-4 hits (depending on their size), over the 4 seconds that the spell lasts.

Each hit will chill the enemy for 4 seconds.

If you plan to use both this blue book here and
Hellwarden's Will and you want to use a
Guardian's Light (obviously!) and an
Um rune, then put the
Um rune in the book and the jewel in the helmet, because an
Um in a shield/book gives you 22 all res, but in a helmet only 15 all res!
