Description

With its large enhanced defense bonus, Duriel's Shell boasts a very high defense stat. Coupled with the fact that a Great Hauberk only requires a moderately high strength requirement makes this item a good candidate to upgrade with the Horadric Cube.

Duriel's Shell provides the wearer with a lot of resistances along with its high defense, a good amount of hp and the strong 'Cannot Be Frozen' mod that altogether makes it a great armor for a lot of characters. If Ethereal, it's very strong on mercenaries due to the 'Cannot Be Frozen' mod, and that mercenaries don't suffer durability damage on equipped items.

Just as durable as Duriel himself, it is one of the only two items that are named after the two Lesser Evils found in the game. Ironicly, the armor is very strong against Duriel, because of the 'Cannot Be Frozen' mod.

On the contrary of what @Tavron said the "Cannot be frozen" effect does NOT work with Duriel's cold effect (or any other Holy Freeze enchanted monster, actually)
