I dont know why I keep watching this topic. Just making myself sad. Dont get me wrong, glad that you people find stuff its awesome! I just hate that my own luck is such garbage to never find anything.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Fun fact: Most posts in the "fail drops" thread are ALSO really awesome drops, there it's just "only 14% enhanced damage on a superior item" instead of 15% ^^

For this reason I extended my playing style and made a character that strictly uses ethereal equipment only, which (1) makes you happy about uniques etc. dropping as ethereal (which would otherwise be considered a "bad" drop), and (2) makes you happy about really unspectacular drops ("ethereal pair of gloves! I can use that!").

Same could go with drops like "I've been looking for this &%)#!!

Flawed Diamond for days to upgrade my rune, and I finally found it!" Put the subjectiveness back into "lucky", and not only go by what's best-in-slot.

Another idea: Maybe we could take this thread more literally, and also post lucky things that happen to the users -outside- of D2R

Don't get fooled by your psychology! It's easy to get the picture of everybody finding good stuff all the time. I've had WEEKS of not finding anything valuable.

But it's many folks posting here. Some guys here are playing a lot. You don't know how much playtime is between each post. How much time are you investing? Maybe you are doing something wrong? What classes/builds are you playing?

Lastly, this game has a lot more to offer than finding godlike stuff. If you only focus on finding a GG item every day, it's a recipe for misery.

I really enjoy playing solo, watching a series show or have some music running meanwhile, and I am happy about any flawless gem or jewel that's dropping. I know that my chances are worse than someone who is always playing Mosaicsin in full online games. I have to accept that and I am okay with it. High runes or uniques are the icing on the cake, but not the cake itself.

Also you may "spread" your luck! There's a lot of good things to be found: Runeword bases, blue items (armors, monarchs, amulets, javelins, claws, gloves etc.), all kinds of charms, perfect rares/sets/uniques, crafting materials and so on. Spend your gold on gambling. Gather diadems and make use of your imbue quests. Reroll high level Grand Charms for getting skillers. Create more heroes with different requirements so you are able to play all areas and have some variety.

If you only aim for that one griffons for your javazon, you will always have a bad day.

--> The more items are on your wishlist, the better your chances of finding something useful.

It's a useful find no matter what.

It's kinda weird funny though, in my entire time with D2 and D2R(literally got the original D2 within months of release), i've found TWO BKs, but not a single SoJ.

Mainly through... perfect amethysts and quite good Annis when they were raining, way more than extremely lucky finds (actually apart from my perfect Anni that I finally got (but after hundreds of Dclone, it's not THAT surprising), my very best drop is the one from 2 weeks ago... that did not sell yet )

After some rerrols, I finally got a perfect 35 FCR Spirit in a

Monarch.
