Typing "Ko" in database search fails to return expected results

Device: PC
Browser: Firefox 90.0.2
OS: Windows 10

Steps to reproduce: Type "
Ko
" and leave one space in the database search field. Instead of producing results like "
Ko
" or "
Recipe: Ko
", only "
Kuko Shakaku
" returns.

This is because there is a 3-character minimum to reduce the amount of SQL requests made with every search. Part of the optimisation improvements coming in patch 0.3 will be do refine it backend to allow for less server load with 2 character searches.

Edit: So you’ll be able to search with two characters. The search doesn’t recognise special characters such as spaces/apostrophes btw, hence why adding a space doesn’t change anything.

Right, that makes sense. I thought adding a space made a difference because of some results appearing for a split second before being replaced by
Kuko Shakaku
.
