Giant Threshers range adder of 4 is not to be underestimated, letting mercenaries or players to hit from behind minions or target unique monsters through mob packs. With kiting and quick clicking you can even kill dolls as a melee character while staying out of their explosion range. If you have the strength and dex requirements you should go with

Giant Thresher over

Thresher every time.

feel like it's worth noting that on most classes you want both one of these and a

Cryptic Axe for your endgame, need the cryptic to roll a 4s for Insight - i keep my Obedience
