Sorry, haven't kept up with the conversation here, but I just saw (and purchased) the update.
I'm only here to express my extreme shock. Okay, time to go full hermit for a few days.

I had this weird Dream last night. Some Rasputin guy with the Communist Manifesto put all my runes in ONE stash tab. I need to launch the game to see if it was real after all.
even better, right click any stackable and it goes into the correct spot.mikelessar wrote: 2 hours agoI had this weird Dream last night. Some Rasputin guy with the Communist Manifesto put all my runes in ONE stash tab. I need to launch the game to see if it was real after all.
Steam version online you use blizzard.com/link to enter the pairing code and it syncs your battle.net chars. You're prompted when you first launch the game.Schnorki wrote: 6 hours agoAye, offline is just a matter of finding where Steam stores it.parkysizzle wrote: 14 hours agoSo I can confirm that the Steam version uses the same offline directory as the BNET version.Schnorki wrote: 14 hours ago
I assume steam is all fresh?
I.e. no account transfer/linking just to get away from the b.net app without having to start over?
I launched the Steam version, signed into my Battle.net account, and all of my offline characters were loaded in.

I was more thinking about the online stuff. Certainly not starting from scratch there. :p
There..and back again!

Hi , there, just reminder,
we start to have separate world.
It will be nice to have tag that tells it is d2r or it is warlock trade.

I've ported my main 'over' to RotW, and I'm having a blast- the QoL has breathed a real breath of fresh air into the game- relieving me from OCD "I need to find a Flawed Emerald or another Ith to cube, so that I can make room in my stash..."
That aside- Dumb QUESTION:
Can anybody think of any downside or rationale for NOT "converting" all of my D2R (even very low level) characters 'up' to RotW now?
I mean, low-leveling won't be significantly different from D2R to RotW, and having all of my 'pass down' items from my higher RotW-converted mains would be beneficial.
What am I missing? What should I consider before 'converting' every single one of my lower-level characters to RotW.
(I know I have to "mule over" my currently existing D2R shared items- but beyond that?)

The "LF" price on recent trade listings is pretty firm. I try and post "LF" prices on every trade to add ease to trading. Thanks.
Current down side is that some trade is still in d2r, if you move there. some items you may not able to purchase by using new acquire runes.Ridonkulous05 wrote: 1 hour agoI've ported my main 'over' to RotW, and I'm having a blast- the QoL has breathed a real breath of fresh air into the game- relieving me from OCD "I need to find a Flawed Emerald or another Ith to cube, so that I can make room in my stash..."

I usually recommend , convert the thing you want to play and need over there until everyone move there.

Not everyone will buy the expansion, especially as long as it is not discounted. So the player base will get fractured even more. We in this forum are hardcore fans. Most of us will buy it soon or already have but we are not the bulk of players, there are still quite a lot of casual noobie players. On the other hand, maybe you don't need a big trading player base.
Apologies if this already known/discussed, but I did notice that there seems to be a limit of 99 for each of the stack tabs in the new inventory. Tried it with Full Rejuvenation potions. I'm assuming that will apply to all stackable items.
LoD
Indeed, that's for everything. I had to create Jah and Ber mules sadlyLackofDiscipline wrote: 1 hour agoApologies if this already known/discussed, but I did notice that there seems to be a limit of 99 for each of the stack tabs in the new inventory. The trade will become slower...some trade was original to happen , now it will become twice to third times than it was . Depends which side get more people.
If only 30% of purchase power move over there, the original world will become 2 times of slower .
While the new world will be almost unable to trade. There will still people move from here to there but unless all move there, player base is half . Both side should expect goods spend 2 -3 times than usually to sold.

I have an extremely stupid question: is there a way to tell the game to remember that item labels stay active all the time? Currently I always have to toggle them on in each new game, which obviously gets forgotten easily
Not a stupid question at all as I was experiencing the same. Idk about PC, though I do play both, but on PS there is an option for alway on, or toggle. I have it set to toggle my L1 button by default. Hope this helps.TeleTabitha wrote: 1 hour agoI have an extremely stupid question: is there a way to tell the game to remember that item labels stay active all the time? Thank you, I don't know if I understand you correctly. I have the options "timed", "toggle" or "hold" here on PC. Now, with the filter, for my playstyle there is no reason to ever have them off. So I toggle them on for a game, yet in the next game they start toggled off again. And I keep forgetting toggling them on manually each game. The other options seem to be even less of what I need, like "always on".Bizington wrote: 50 minutes agoNot a stupid question at all as I was experiencing the same. Mosaic appears to still be ladder only. Tried on both LoD and RotW and both times it resulted in gemmed talons.
You have to wait it official says .
The recent development says that it will be in non ladder soon.
But not yet make it official.

It will. But did the devs have a choice? They wanted to sell Reign of the Warlock, not to give it for free (and that's reasonable; I'm not not arguing about it).Phoenix_00 wrote: 18 hours ago1. Will this not fracture the community further? We already have 9 groups: Pre-Expansion Soft Core/Hard Core with Ladder/Non-Ladder, Expansion Soft Core/Hard Core with Ladder/Non-Ladder, and Offline (obviously variations within offline, but its all solo play at that point anyway). At least I think that is all the permutations.
So what were the other options?
Paywall only the Warlock? No, the expansion is much more than just the new class.
Paywall everything (so, for example, a character without RotW couldn't pick up new items)? That'd be even worse, especially in a multiplayer game with economy.
So a new game more ("era") was the least worst option...
it will be okay. They just create a new time-line.Trang Oul wrote: 19 minutes agoIt will. But did the devs have a choice? At least the current timeline in this d2r will be finalize. It will be classic without worry something bad going to happen. We will have a golden version stay right now.
The unable to pick up story is exactly d3 necro dlc did.
I am not sure what will they do in future if most player base stay in d2r and they want to release another dlc warlock v2 with wow style world. act6-10.
Or even worse, 50% here 50% there. if they continue to do max profit style, DLC both d2r and warlock, make it 4 different world...
