Hey all, just a quick one:

Does crushing blow work with necromancer or druid summons?
What about
Bone Break
?

Thanks!

Can be used to make Runewords:

Your Crushing bow / Deadly strike / Open Wounds do not work for your Merc or your Minions

Resistance
Pierce
(or sunder resistances) I'm not sure... 🤔

OBS:
- Traps are affected by your resistance
Pierce
(or sunder resistances) since recent patches
- You may use
Revive
on some monster that have Crushing Blow (like Urdar - https://www.purediablo.com/d2wiki/Urdar / monsters/blunderbore-t4235.html ) and they will keep their natural Crushing Blow 😉

About sunder charms, I found some links that say that it DO work for minions 🤔, so I'm not sure

(Crushing bow / Deadly strike / Open Wounds i'm sure that do not work 🙂)

This maxroll.gg guide is just the one that made me wonder about the crushing blow and the sunder charm.

It says something about using
Bone Break
in order to buff
Amplify Damage
on physical immunes.

I made a test :-)
and considering my test, sunder works for Minions, but... your have to have the sunder in you inventory when you summon them (it is snapshotted)

I found a Specter on Hell
Arcane Sanctuary
, hit him with a Prevent Monster Heal weapon, and let only my Bear fight it.
The Bear that I summon without
Bone Break
could not damage the Specter (even when I put
Bone Break
again on my inventory)
The Bear that I summon with
Bone Break
could damage the Specter (even when I removed
Bone Break
from my inventory)

But damage is pretty low without the help of
Amplify Damage
or
Decrepify
(in fact, I needed to use a Prevent Monster Heal to confirm that the Bear was actually doing damage....)

not related to the post, but got pretty luck during my test above and dropped a perfect Shimmering Grand Charm 🙂 🤗
(not for sale 😉)

Hummm got it! Just keep it on the inventory all time then, and forget about it. Does the increased physical damage percentage also penalizes summons as well?

I would guess that the penalty only affects you 😉
(but this is way harder to make a test 😛)

do a test!
Amplify Damage
,
Decrepify
and resistance
Pierce
on equipment works normal (full value) against sundered monsters
(and
Amplify Damage
,
Decrepify
works at full value to break immunity. Resistance
Pierce
on equipment cannot break immunity)

Just
Lower Resist
,
Conviction
and
Cold Mastery
have the 80% penalty (1/5 value) against sundered monsters
(and
Lower Resist
,
Conviction
have the same penalty to break immunity.
Cold Mastery
cannot break immunity)

(there are other threads in the forum that already discussed it 😉)

Your own attack stats only work for yourself so minions will not benefit from any crushing, deadly or whatever you may have on yourself. CB on the base for an
Iron Golem
should work though as does crushing blow on your merc's gear for him.

Since your other minions can't actively equip anything, they won't get CB unless they inherently bring their own (e.g. urdar revives on your nec).

Sunders work for minions but not for mercs. So a
Bone Break
will allow your direct summons to damage phys immunes (albeit rather low dmg if you don't also add amp, decrep or the like) but your merc will remain SoL and won't benefit from your
Bone Break
.
