Description

With decent 191% ed - apparently trade value is rather medium but still many people say upgrade it to elite - I guess to increase
Smite
damage - and
Zod
it (of course).
So this shield is useful/good for smiters or would I just do something else rather and save the
Zod
rune? Wondering as I never played a smiter.

Can be used to make Runewords:

I would just trade it away, if someone actually wants it (and you need what they have to offer). Just use a non-ethereal version of the shield (upgraded or not) for smiting, it's more than enough. Save the
Zod
for something that's actually worth it.

Why is ethereal so desired for this item?

Generally eth is better for lower strength requirement and the 50% defense bonus.

[edit]
I should say, *when* eth is preferred, those are the main benefits. For armors with a movement restriction, I think eth always counts as light, as well.

Some other reasons maybe listed at https://diablo-archive.fandom.com/wiki/ ... Diablo_II).

All prices negotiable. BIN always wins. Americas (Pacific), but int'l trade times can be arranged.
