Base for Death rune word

looking 4 advice b4 i spend my runes...
option 1 - Eth Colossus Sword for my Frenzy barb
option 2 - Eth Ettin Axe for my zealot
(i don't have an Eth 5os Berserker Axe....)

Both options are BiS but I am afraid that Ettin Axe won t allow you to reach max attack speed with reasonable equip. I'd suggest you to craft it in the Colossus Sword and then buy a zerker Axe and craft another one, your zealer will enjoy it so much and you won t regret it. I personally use Death in zerker Axe on my zealer, it is better than any other weapon (yes, better than Grief), i tested under any conditions, from solo to 8 players Baal runs and imho Death is the best for the zealer.
If you have a Fury druid, craft even another one for him in an Eth Champion Axe.
Death is so cheap you can enjoy trying it in different bases

I would recommend making it in the fasted ethereal base possible of your preferred weapon class, because that will give you the most glacial spikes and crushing blows over time.

I don't have Zeal breakpoints memorized, but a War Spike may be faster than a Berserker Axe or Ettin Axe if you want to make it in a 1h axe. This will all depend on how much IAS you have on the rest of your gear.

War Spike is faster than zerker Axe (-10 vs 0 base speed), but with a 15 ias jewel in the Helm (guillaume i d say for a zealer), 20 ias gloves, highlord s Wrath and nosferatu s coil, you can reach max attack speed with a zerker Axe, given that you have max Fanaticism. I use Death in Eth War Spike sometimes on a tesladin which uses Conviction and gets only 15 Fanaticism from act 1 Faith merc (on that tesladin i usually go for Last Wish or Grief) so zerker Axe is not an option to reach max attack speed, but for a pure zealer that should have maxed Fanaticism, zerker Axe is a better choice.
You can reach max attack speed even with a Frenzy Axe barb with a decent Grief or any ebotd as mainhand and again, 15 ias jewel, highlords and 20 ias gloves. Can t remember exactly if the ias on Grief must be 34 or higher or if you can replace the 15 ias jewel with a simple nosferatus coil in this case, i let you check if you re interested, but the point is that War Spike could be better only for niche use cases, generally max speed is not that big of an issue with zerker axes for zealer or Frenzy barbs.
Given that with Death you can easily reach 100% chance of deadly strike, a base with higher damage makes some difference and should be a better choice
