Description

The
Werebear
casts 5 individual "missiles" that fan out and apply physical damage and stun any monsters they hit.

The missile spread can be changed by moving your cursor closer or farther away from your character, which will make the cone wider or narrower, respectively.

The stun has a 10% chance to apply to unique monsters and doesn't apply to bosses.
Shock Wave
can be blocked.

Monsters can be stunned for a maximum of 10 seconds, so it's not necessary to put points in
Shock Wave
beyond attaining the ten-second
Stun
.

Shockwave has a positively absurd [1+(slvl*0.6)] second
Stun
duration. This achieves the maximum
Stun
duration of 10 seconds at slvl 15. Between its long duration and huge area of effect,
Shock Wave
is easily the game's most effective crowd control effect short of AI-altering effects such as
Confuse
.

Stunning effects are subject to neither difficulty penalties nor diminishing returns. However, if another stunning effect is applied after
Shock Wave
, it will overwrite the previous stunning effect with the new effect's full duration (even if that duration is shorter). Furthermore, Champion, Unique, and Super Unique monsters will only be affected by a stunning effect 10% of the time, though they will suffer the full duration of that effect if affected.

Boss monsters are immune to stunning effects such as
Shock Wave
.
