Description

Raven
's can peck out the eyes of their targets, creating an effect similar to the Necromancer's
Dim Vision
.

Raven
's can't be targeted or harmed. But they will disappear after all attacks have been spent.

Auras, buffs and debuffs do not apply to
Raven
's. But effects that lowers target physical resistance (
Amplify Damage
/
Decrepify
) and defense (
Conviction
/
Battle Cry
/
Cloak of Shadows
/
Inner Sight
) indirectly increase
Raven
's damage potential.

+1-3
Raven
staffmod can spawn on Druid Pelts (item level 1-24) as early as act 1 normal difficulty.

Ravenlore
adds +7 to the
Raven
skill.

Patch 2.4 dramatically increased this skill's damage output. As of 2.4,
Raven
damage is calculated as follows:
  • slvl 1-8: (1+slvl) - (2+2*slvl)
  • slvl 9-16: (4*slvl-23) - (5*slvl-22)
  • slvl 17-22: (8*slvl-87) - (9*slvl-86)
  • slvl 23-28: (14*slvl-219) - (15*slvl-218)
  • slvl >28: (20*slvl-387) - (21*slvl-386)
Other noteworthy features of
Raven
:
  • Ravens have an effective mlvl of (slvl+clvl-2). Bearing in mind that Chance to Hit = 200% * (AR/(AR+Dr)) * (alvl/(alvl+tlvl), a
    Raven
skill with a high slvl will result in Ravens whose mlvl dramatically exceeds that of their target, which can compensate for their relatively modest 70+(30*slvl) AR.
  • Adding
    Ravenlore
    to a fully synergized
    Raven
that is sitting at slvl 28 or higher will increase
    Raven
damage by a whopping 1148-1205 damage.
  • The chance for a
    Raven
attack to blind its target is equal to 40% + 5*(slvl+clvl-mlvl)%. Internally, Ravens are using the standard Hit Blinds Target calculation, with an alvl of (slvl+clvl-2) and a Blinding Bonus of 1. Practically, this means attacks from a sufficiently high slvl
    Raven
are essentially guaranteed to blind their targets.
