Can be used to make Runewords:
Can be useful to limit the maximum number of sockets on a weapon. E.g. a crude Berserker Axe "repaired" to a normal Berserker Axe with then iLVL = 1 can only have up to 4 sockets instead of 6.
Cheap way to repair cracked/damaged Wands to try and roll +3 Raise Skeleton with +3 Skeleton Mastery.
