Description

Exile is a paladin shield runeword, and has large defensive bonuses due to its inherent
Defiance aura. Its
Life Tap proc server as an alternative for
Dracul's Grasp.

Exile is recommended to be placed in an Ethereal Shield, as the runeword applies the repair over time modifier. (e.g.- repairs 1 durability over x seconds).

Any modifiers that appear on base paladin shields do carry over to the runeword as well. (e.g.- +45 all resistance, or +121 attack rating, and +65% enhanced damage).

Vortex Shield.

Exile is particularly unusual among runewords in that it is restricted to a class-specific item type other than Katars.
