Description

Hi everyone!

First post outside Trade section hehe.

I`m building
Smite
Paladin to deal with Uber content that I'm not able to deal with my Summoner Necromancer. Currently I've achieved to find all this gear: https://d2.maxroll.gg/d2planner/7x0106az

In the link you can see also the build, I've used 2 points to get
Zeal
to level up and farm outside Ubers.

What should I improve?

Thanks for your feedback.

Don't be afraid to offer in the Trade section, not everyone knows the price of the item they own and maybe they just look for a rune to complete a runeword.

Ok, you need to
Cap
your resists,
Um
the G Face. That is your #1 priority at this point.

For
Mephisto
you will need a Treachery to swap and proc
Fade
off of (Smart idea to do for each of the bosses).

You also want to shop a
Life Tap
Wand
for weapon switch (make sure your shield on switch will be block capped and socket with P Diamonds for resists too.) Drac's should keep it up, but you will want to
Life Tap
each boss with the swap before each engage.

With that it should be doable, your life is pretty low though, due to a lot of wasted poitns into STR. (id swap
Ornate Plate
for an
Archon Plate
Duress).

@Neurotoxina Just get a Treachery to pre-buff and you are ready to go. Maybe
Um
the GFace.

You can later work on some improvements if you like.

you need more life, I think CTA or lots of life charms

a little FYI about your necros that I just learned, but if you want to clap ubers/dclone with necro go and get the big smashy bois from durance 3 or whatever, they have big CB !

1 point in
Salvation
will offset almost the entirety of Uber meph's
Conviction
. With that and a Treachery pre-buff you'll be more than fine.

Can achieve 100% CB with just Black
Flail
+Gface+Goblins, freeing up armor for whatever you need.

Make sure to get a lifetap
Wand
to start with, otherwise youll be chugging full juves.

Without CTA, you will still likely get 1shot by meph if he hits the right string of CB's.

You need way higher lightning resistance, especially with 1k health.

Ideally you want it to be much above 75% (so it's still high after Meph's aura).

The Tgod helps a little, but I doubt it'll help enough; Meph will likely still one-shot you often enough.

So that's what I'd focus on; On my paladin I just picked a bunch of crappy lightning resist charm. They don't need to be perfect or anything, just random garbage res charms. This got me to nearly 200% light res, which means I'm still capped after his aura.

CTA also helps if you can afford it.

Basically, the
Key
to ubers as a smiter is "Can you survive Meph's lightning attack? Yes? Then it's a walk in the park".

But Meph's light attack hits like a truck... When I started doing
Tristram
I remember getting one-shot for >1500 damage sometimes, and my light res wasn't even that bad.

(follow up) I noticed that you focus a lot on crushing blow, open wound and all that... You don't need so much of it.

Smiting with crushing blow is so fast, that pretty much ANY crushing blow gets the job done.

I'd just use 1 piece for crushing blow, and 1 piece for open wound.

Everything else, I'd use stuff that improves your survivability; Resistance, health, reduce damage, etc..

I used to do them with stuff like
Shako
and vipermagi; Just for the res all, reduce damage and health.

As long as you have gorerider, you're good enough for the crushing blow. You kinda have to use dracs (because casting Lifetap manually isn't practical), but I'd swap out the other pieces for better survival gear.

I would never use
Guillaume's Face
.

Guillaume's Face
is like "If I survive I'll kill him 8% faster". But you're not really going for speed kills, you're going for "not dying".

A
Helm
with 3
Ort
(90 light res) would help you more than Guillaume's.

(Not that I'd recommend that,
Shako
is fine. But you don't need crushing blow from 3-4 sources)

@OP I got here late, so I assume that the gentlemen/gentlewomen above has answered your questions, so I figured I would add some "bonus" content, since you mentioned that your main is a Zoo (Summon Necro).

Summon Necro can not only do Ubers, but they are actually the fastest Uber killer of all classes!
That being said, they are also (To my knowledge) the most expensive Uber class in return. Yet, I thought I would add my two cents on the matter, in case you'd be interested down the line.

I will try to limit myself here, to avoid a massive blog thread.

The reason the Necromancer is such an efficient Uber slayer, is because of the skill
Revive
. There are creatures, who once revived, will still have Crushing Blow - these will be Urdars, Mauler, Gorebelly etc (The big boys with clubs). These can be found in numerous places, most commonly in
River of Flame
, Durance of Hate and
Canyon of the Magi
, but also in
Black Marsh
and other places.

This in combination with items such as Beast and Might Merc will make you bust ubers like you never thought possible.

I would not suggest trying this until you are "fully decked" with Beast, Enigma, Skillers and a good Merc setup.

The general strategy is simple.
Step 1: Seek & Destroy all the Revives you're gonna need/want.
Step 2:
Revive
them.
Step 3: Cast
Amplify Damage
&
Teleport
on top of an Uber.
Step 4: Enjoy the view.

I tried to keep this as short as possible, considering it is sort of off-topic, feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Good luck in Tristam either way!

I do mine with 100% CB. Every hit counts. If you get a decent
Life Tap
Wand
on switch, each should be dead before you need to reapply it.

As for your skills... 1 point in
Smite
is all you need, because you don't care about the damage it does, CB is doing all the work here. You basically make a zealer and use him to kill ubers as a bonus.
