TP from Tome and TP from Sling ring are 2 different skills. You have to bind the correct one and it should work.

Question on Nova Sorc: damage scales with increase in Lightning damage (adding to the passive skill, e.g. Sling with +4 lightning damage atrribute increases Nova damage only marginally, since passive skill already increases by couple of hundred percent and any further marginal increase is relatively low.

On minus lightning res: what is the maximum amount enemy lightning resistance can be lowered? -100%?

If I calculate now:
Griffons with perfect jewel: -30% res
Infinity self-wield: -50%
Infinity Aura: -85% / -15% for lightning immune
Renewed crack: sets enemy res to 95% and then either -10% res or plus damage

Case A: lightning immune monsters:

So to add up: 95 base resistance -30-50-15 =-95 equals 0 total resistance. Minimum resistance is -100%, so -res on sunder lowers resistance further to negativ 10. correct?
This means: I can further accumulate -res (e.g. -55% Infinity or additional -5 jewel) and increase my net damage output on lightning immune monsters.

For non immune monsters (e.g. base resistance 50%):
50 -50-30-85=-115%, so it is capped by -100% and further reduction does not matter. So for non-immune a sunder charm with + damage is more meaningful, and a -55% Infinity would not add any benefit.

Are my calculations correct?

Infinity’s Conviction is working at 1/5 effect vs a sundered enemy, so it provides -17, not -15. And Infinity itself can be -55, if it’s a perfect roll.

Beyond this, you also add rainbow facets. Well, one, if you wear a unique armor. None of you wear a rune word armor. Up to 4 if you for some reason wear a 4os armor.

You can lower to -100% but not further.

That means, you could lower e.g hell Mephisto (75%) by 175% to -100%.

Maximum for self-wield Infinity sorc:
Vs. Sundered:
-55 (Infinity)
-17 Conviction
-11 (lvl 12 Lower Resist proc from Plague)
-30 (Griffin + Stone)
-10 crack
-5 x 4 (facets armor)

143 total

Vs non-sundered Conviction and Lower Resist are higher (85 and 57, respectively)

Apocalypse max dmg would be about 40k at slvl 55+ right? -55-60 efr from gear, -20 from Consume.. every 1.8s. doesn't sound that great compared to other top builds.
now the question is, why did the have to remove Conviction from the bound demons?

The Union of A2 mercs under the leadership of Emilio went on strike. Blizzard bowed to their demand and ensured that Emilio and his friends' jobs are protected from immigrant demons who wanted to steal their jobs.

Have these always existed?

If so, I'm guessing I never noticed due to rarely clearing all of City of Damned before TZs were added.

Yes, they are very rare.

Fun facts:

In LoD, these monsters were called "An Evil Force".

If you break them with a melee attack, you suffer a few HP of damage. If your current HP were very, very low, they can even kill you!

Some people claim they were meant to be incorporated in an unfinished quest. So if Blizz ever completes Act 4 (there is still maybe a 10% chance of this happening...), we might find out more about them.

Interesting video:

Neato!

I think it may be proximity to the glass when breaking them. Pretty sure sorc took damage when blasting with fireballs after teleporting right on top of them; there were no other mobs around. I've encountered them several times now in the last 2 days doing A4 TZ clears.

I'll have to verify when I see them next.

If you increase minimum damage on a weapon beyond maximum, the damage range between min/max is only 1?

I.E. Ettin Axe / Rune Master with (5) 10 min damage jewels would have a base damage range of 83-84?

Yes - if you for example socket Sol runes into a weapon so min becomes greater than max, then max is changed to min+1. But the rule comes in after weapon ED%, so you couldn’t make it apply to Rune Master (the gap between min and max is too large post-ED%), but you could make it apply to a base Ettin Axe.

Do note however that the character screen misrepresents this. The rule applies on the weapon itself (after weapon ED% but before any modifiers from skills or other gear), but the character screen instead applies the rule after things like off-weapon ED%.

Oooh. Interesting.

So + max damage would probably be optimal if trying to utilize Rune Master.

I saw the note about character screen misrepresenting values when searching the web, but there was conflicting info on how the min/max would apply.

Thanks for clarification.

Not really.

Best use of non- Eth is as an offhand for a zerker barb wit 5x Lem or Ist.

Ethereal can be used for damage, e.g Zod + 4x 15/40 jewels.

For an Amazon it's the speed for 3 jabs.

For the A2 I assume it's per Jab because he would otherwise attack so super fast and I never saw that. (My guess here is that Amazon has a special hab animation and Merc just attacks 3 times)

Merc does not always use Jab. He uses Jab, normal attack, or activates his aura (only in case it's not active).

The frequency depends on his level. If you want to know how often he hab's, you have to take these numbers and divide the frequency value for jabs by the sun of frequency values of the available skills.

thx.. after observing him a bit, I think he does hit 3 times with Jab, and he jabs quite often, maybe 50% of the time (lvl 84 currently)
