Improving my javazon

Hello everyone,

I've already read others topics related to javazon, without having big ideas.

Overall, this javazon globally works.
I have some mana issues, partially fixed with CTA.
I have low resistances, but little impact in the gameplay.
Sometimes I have difficulties with some heralds, the same for Emilio who dont really tank them.

I drop my SOJ for Manald Heal, I don't know if it's the best move.
I read about Eth titan, but I don't know if it's going to make a difference, or if it's the priority.

So, I want your opinion on what to improve/prioritize. Also, there is maybe some small fixes that I don't longer see.

I would use Thunderstroke and a -20/+20 jeweler's Monarch for more dmg. Suffix is whatever you prefer.
For the gloves, 3/20 blue would be better than those rare ones you have. You already have mana leech from the ring.

For heralds, repeatedly use Teleport to pull your merc away, and keep him away. Conviction might come off but it's better than a dead merc.

drop Manald Heal for a dual leech ring imo with some resists and you're all set. I run a similar setup and i run my javazon on p7-p8 without any issue. I drop to p3-p5 for heralds.

you will definitely run into some mana issues if you're doing lots of teleporting, but an easy fix is just to have one column of your Belt be mana pots and the other 3 be rejuv pots.

incredibly strong build, does everything in the game at p7-p8 except ubers with that setup.

i like Titan's Revenge over Thunderstroke for the faster run walk and the replenish. Tstroke is technically more damage but the time you save by not having to go back to town to repair more than makes up for the slight discrepancy in damage.

if you are only doing p1 you can also do a Phoenix shield and that will totally solve your mana issues.

I don't have mana issues. Running Spirit and an ethereal Titan's with a rare amulet giving 8% manaleech. Crafted 2/20 gloves with 2 Maek, Nosferatu's and Opalvein with 3 Maek.

Might Merc for additional life/mana leech.

So I am ending up with 7 Mana after each Kill.

70 FCR and 30 IAS. 3K life after BO and maxed resistances. It's the best Java build I ever had. She's heading to level 99 now.

Phoenix makes you slow as sh...t and doesn't add much to your build. Leave that thing to fire builds and Zealots.

Overall a very solid build. I mean, it's very close to the Maxroll recommendation.

Any changes come with trade-offs. It really depends on what you want to optimize.

The biggest potential lies in the manald ring. SoJ, BK, or a GG rare would be better.

Boots are another thing to look at: Now you have mf which makes sense for farming. If you find mana issues unbearable and don't care for mf, switch to Silkweave. If you care about res, switch to tri res rares.

Shield is another. Spirit is very good: Not only skills but also some res, fcr (for tele), 55 fhr (!!!), huge mana, ...
Giving this all up for 4 sockets or Redemption aura (Phoenix) is a huge ask, but still worth considering. If you want to maximize damage, go for 4x facets. If you want more mana, go for Phoenix or 4x 15 IAS 3maek jewels in a jewelers Monarch.

You can try getting another one or two frames faster with IAS jewels.

Another idea to solve your mana issue is to put Phoenix on swap. Can be annoying but it's an option.

Charms are also solid even though there is potential there as well.

If you want to fight Ubers/Heralds, you can switch to thundergods (mostly for defensive reasons, for mobs Razortail's Pierce is just too good). You can switch to CoH if you want more res but you'd lose tele.

So, what do you want? More damage, faster attack speed, more res, more survivability against Heralds/Ubers, more mana recovery, more magic find, ...? As soon as you know that, you'll basically have your answer.

do u definitely want to go light Fury? cos believe it or not, Lightning Strike with Thunderstroke works too. then u can save ALL points on the crit strike/ Penetrate/ Pierce tree and dump into valk instead.

some suggestions
ammy: mara or rare crafted
Belt: as others said, thundergods.
ring: ravenfrost is fixed. BUT u can get a Opalvein, i find it does make a diff.
Boots: silkweaves or crafted caster better.
shield: Stormshield with +mana after kill jewel. this was something i messed around with to fix mana issue, and allow me to face tank (some) t5 heralds.

and as for merc, sorry emilio with Infinity was good but everytime we meet someone truly tough he dies. so it has got to be alaric (is there a default act5 barb name) with Plague/lastwish/fort/vampgaze or Andariel).

Not leech rings, since you hardly do physical damage, not Silkweave, not SoJ or CtA, although all of these help.
The best solution is Phoenix shield. Yes, you lose Spirit, but the fact that you never have to deal with mana problems again: worth it!

Indeed, the Phoenix changed everything. It's not cheap, but all the other stuff I tried was a bandaid on a bullet wound. No more crappy dual leech ring (I don't have a good one), I have a gg fcr ring now. No more silkweaves, I can now have decent resists because of tri-res Boots. No more chugging potions like Homer and Barney chug beer. It's night and day, it made my java so much more smooth, powerful, and fast.

Again Spirit vs Phoenix on javazon.

If you have manaleech and a high ethereal ed Titan's Revenge, you don't need Redemption aura.
You just have to ball mobs then throw your jav which, thanks to Razortail, will Pierce and proc manaleech on each of them.

That's how you have to play that build.

If you need Phoenix, that's because you use to much Charged Strike and/or don't do the ball job.
