poison necro opinion

the nice thing is that on single player offline apparently the poison bug is only for 1 frame instead of 8 frames online. I think?

I'm considering trying Bramble instead of Enigma just for a change. I'm currently using trangs, Shako, Heart of the Oak, renewed poison sunder and Mara's Kaleidoscope.
I still haven't gotten a poison jewel from ubers. The poison damage is okay on p5 but the bosses and heralds are so annoyingly time-consuming. I'm currently using a might a2 merc with Infinity for the bonus Corpse Explosion damage.

was considering rerolling him to a Bone Spear necro, but may try act 5 merc. I have 2 Grief's on single player and arreats/Fortitude i could throw on him. I bet with amp damage he'd do good work.
@vued what do you think? You always have fun ideas for this. Is Bramble just so incredibly slow or do you enjoy it?

my necro is up to 90 or 91 now.

My experience is online P1, so may not fit everyone - have an OK Death's Web, pretty mid Bramble, and a decent amount of MF (something like 230? I'll check later) so its not really a pure damage build, but he is technically decked. currently i have no trouble with heralds, even if it manages to kill both Waheed and Clay Golem, i can repeatedly summon the golem, and I almost always use the corpses that already lie on the Ground when I spawn them - Amplify Damage, use the existing corpses to take out the pack, then use their corpses - and amp damage also lets waheed survive better, and depending on how they fare, i either change to Decrepify (less damage, slower attacks), or to Lower Resist as at this point there usualy are no more corpses around to use CE on, so i switch to Poison Nova. Clay Golem is pretty essential in this as with my current skill level it gives something around 60% slow? it makes a big difference, Waheed can put that slow to good use by not dying as often lol.

ok, did the checking: golem slow is 63%, have 231MF, +% poison damage is at 79%, minus res is at -54%

yeah p1 heralds aren't a problem, neither are p1 bosses. just trying to find a way to get those t5 heralds down on p3 or p5. I currently just swap the difficulty to p1 but it still goes pretty slowly.

yeah, slow is the name of the game with poison damage sadly lol. is still pretty good for density clearing though - and really safe. i can just steamroll over everything with some nice dungeon synth album playing in the back.

Yes. Offline other damage stops poison for 1 frame, online it does for 8. And I believe it's not a but intended behavior. But the why of something like this being intentional is a miracle to me.
