Description

They just announced Diablo 5 at Blizzcon. It's coming out in 2029.
Sharing some screenshots from the livestream.
They said something about not being able to kill Diablo - the heroes are not coming to save Sanctuary this time etc.
Not many other details besides that, seems to be a 'darker' take than previous titles.
Just showed a short cinematic so far. Perhaps we'll hear more in the developer update later.

The panel looked like they were there under Duress.

after the incredible let down of diablo 3, and the fumbling of diablo 4, i just cant be excited for it.

Sometimes, problems solve themselves.

I cant imagine theres a way back from the fast overkill playstyle of D4. If so, i wont be interested in D5.

Maybe Diablo V is the name of Blizzard's AGI. It will reach singularity in 2029 and those pictures are real world footage of the future? 🤔

Playing HC SSF right now.

Hell completed: Sorc, Druid, Paladin, Ama, Assa, Necro, Barb
Iron Man (Paladin): Nightmare A1

Much as I would love to be proven wrong in a few years, they lost me in the first few seconds by going "we got the team [that brought you the disappointments that were D3 and D4] back together".

Wouldn't be surprised if they end up making something that's by itself, out of context, halfway decent for today's generation of gamers (but probably again still needs 1-2 paid expansions to even fix the basics). But something that actually feels like Diablo..not getting my hopes up anymore. Been burnt too often on that front.

Fool me once (D4) shame on you, fool me twice shame on me- Not considering buying D5 when it's out. I'm better off staying in D2R....

Manners Maketh Man -Rude / Illiterate / Ridiculously low-balled ppl WILL BE IGNORED.
If we agree to trade, please be proactive & efficient.
I'll add you if you've left a message in my ad (with your offer & BNet ID) + We've both agree to trade.

Diablo 3 I played once up to torment (or whatever that unnecessary fourth difficulty is called). Then I uninstalled it and never looked back.

Diablo 4 I played up to level 20, then I uninstalled and never looked back.

Diablo Immortal I played like 2 hours, then I uninstalled and never looked back.

From Diablo 5 I will probably watch the intro and then...

For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys, Ral, Hel, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than Pul (with the named exceptions).

Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 are massive commercial successes that generated billions of dollars in revenue for Blizzard. So even though we all (or at least most of us) dislike them, apperently there are people willing to buy that stuff. When Blizzard brings "the team" together, they are aiming for those other people. So good news for the people who enjoy D3 and D4. But I'm pretty sure that it won't be anything for us...

I still haven’t played d3, d4, or Immortal. Big fan of 1 and 2 though. Is there a recommended order of play I for these other games in? I’m thinking I want to be disappointed in the order that Blizzard intended..

I provide my bnet details after I have accepted your offer/ you accept mine.

Flexible but mostly trade is UTC+1 evenings. Note timezone differences: several hours ahead of US / behind Asia. Prompt but don't expect instant. This ain't Traderie.
