Hi there
I'm currently preparing a Frenzy barbarian, and i'm wondering which are the better bases for weapon runewords.
But here is not the problem exactly, actually i don't understand how IAS work when you have 1 sword or Axe or whatever per hand.
If one hand has fast attack, and second hand have slow, I guess both will be slow as the limitation will come from the slow hand right ?
Thank you per advance for your enlightments.

Can be used to make Runewords:

Frenzy and Double Swing attack speed depends on the primary (glove side) weapon only.
fast on primary, slow on off-hand.
this a great calculator:

Wow thanks for that information.
However on the calculator whether I choose dual Ettin Axe or Ettin Axe / Phase Blade for example i see a difference in "Frames Per Action"
https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calcul ... -0-0-0-0-0
https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calcul ... -0-0-0-0-0
On the first link also i can see "skill level #1" twice so i'm not so sure about that tool :\

2 things-
the table should be IAS not Frenzy
a Phase Blade with 30 IAS is faster than an Ettin Axe with 60 IAS
with just 10 more IAS from other gear you will make the fastest attack frames
(the calculator is bugged with my desktop browser [brave] so i use my laptop [safari])

I can confirm, I'm seeing the same thing as Goggen. Tested on Firefox and Brave.

Edge and Brave are Chromium but Firefox uses Gecko.
I've used that IAS calculator plenty of times, but this is the first time I've tried using it to calculate Frenzy.
Digging around the site, I did find this in the bug reports section:

Looks like what we're seeing may be a known bug associated with dual wielding. The project is currently delayed for a while with work being so busy. The current design of the calculator makes it really hard to display dual wielded skills accurately, so most fixes especially regarding dual wielding are likewise delayed until I finish the rewrite (the third one lmao) of the calculator. The ETA of this is who knows, but I do have big plans to make the calculator bigger, better, and more informative. If only I could find the time
Do keep reporting bugs, but don't expect fixes for some time, at least until you see a significant overhaul of the calculator. If you want to get proper breakpoints/confirm they are correct for dual wielded stuff, just message me somewhere. All single-wielded skills (or skills that only use one weapon despite being holding two) should be entirely correct. Most dual wielded skills are correct, but the presentation is weird or funky and can be confusing/misleading/wrong.

Hello Guyz
Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for the researchs and brain work
Agree with Lanceor and Goggen, couldnt find IAS either here, i thought it had to be "EIAS" but a i was rly not sure.
I ll share with you if i stumble on another web resource that can help understand exactement how Frenzy IAS work with weapons and skills

It depends the weapon base speed.
But yes, you want the fastest weapon on main hand.
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
I was going to reply and say this, but i looked at that calc and it left me unsure.Tornado_OLO wrote: 49 minutes ago

plugging in both, assuming Grief zerker, over pb and a pb for Plague. swapping them around it seemed that literally only the ias on the weapons matter. I couldn't be 100% so i didn't comment.
so doing on that calc that was linked
zerker/pb 20/31 showed the same results as pb/zerker 20/31 this one had Lower (edited) ias reqs compared to the other
likewise
zerker/pb 31/20 showed the same results as pb/zerker 31/20 and had higher (edited) ias frames. i didn't however test double zerker double pb, for simplicity sake, regardless of if you cant even put Plague in a zerker. The speed differences between weapons was my main test.
so i'm left confused.
This makes a lot more sense to me, if they're correct on the weapons averaging.Darq wrote: 4 years agoIf remember it correct, the games takes the average of both weapons base speed and then add the IAS of the mainhand as weapon-IAS. IAS of the second weapon is ignored.
Time i'm most active 03:00am - 06:00am UTC on occasions 02:00pm-07:00pm
using the Frenzy table, there is no difference which hand holds the slow weapon
