Can he use 2 phase blades with botd? Is it a waste to do or would it be a beastly merc?

I think BotD in a Phase Blade is a waste in general. You'd usually want to build that in an ethereal base, even if for self use. Otherwise, yes, he should be able to hold 2 BotD swords (I think?). Not sure which base would be best for him though.

Phase Blade is the only 1-handed sword that can roll 6os so the only one a5 can dual-wield sadly. A5 Bash could use a 2-handed Eth Breath of the Dying but only one

Damn ok that makes sense. Kinda sucks haha. In that case I suppose it would be the way, but I think having a Grief in one hand (or both) might be better?

I'm not an expert on a5 mercs but, yea i agree in a Phase Blade it's not worth it

apart from being non-ethereal, phase blades have low base dmg and high attack speed. attack speed will be overkill prly with their base ias + 60% on botd + Frenzy ias + other sources like 20 ias on Andariel's Visage or a jewel. so i also advise against double botd

double Grief will prly be much stronger
