It boils down to this, it was Legendary because bots could excel with tele swapping aura for positioning. The average player was constantly slamming fx-> right click-> fy -> shift+left, rinse repeat for every pack. Now with quick casts? OH HELL YEAH Hdin, a lot better, imo.
I didn't read this thread, but if you want something closer to home, at least for normal/nightmare try Holy Fire, just aura and Resist Fire will carry most of normal, then can swap to Fist. Fist is a lot like a javazon and trap sin, and Holy Fire is more like a trap sin, except no setting traps, just getting the clear speed. Hexfire for melee makes clearing most stuff a joke cause ITD or Raven Claw / Kuko Shakaku for applying the fire damage to a projectile. Lastly, any bow, if you are okay with using Glove Exploding Arrow charges. Demon Machine wrecks, too, even into hell.
Hdin idk, never gelled with me, either Holy Fire->fist-> Smite or full Smite if rushed. Hdins main thing going is magic damage is so infrequent and hard to resists that it can clear 90% of the games areas. Is it worth the headache is the question you need to ask or hell even worth the Enigma.
I'm hella biased though, so take my Hdin hate with a grain of salt, there is pluses to it.
