Mana regen

A couple of days ago I was educated on this forum that mana regen bonuses don't apply to potions or mana leech.

but whenever i drink a 500 points

Super Mana Potion on my fire sorc with 2.5k orb capacity, it restores much more than 500, feels more like 1.5k, which is consistent with

Warmth and other bonuses

so I'm pretty sure mana regen bonuses do apply to potions at least, not sure about leech.

can someone confirm or deny it?

Potions can crit, so you might be observing that. The crit chance is quite high.

Energy also affects your

Mana Potion chances of critting which doubles the rate of regeneration when consumed. As you increase your Energy total, your chance to crit on Potions increases, as seen below:

For Energy values <201 that are Even:
For Energy values <201 that are Odd:
For Energy values >200:

% Chance = (Energy - 2) / 4
% Chance = (Energy - 1)2 / (Energy * 4)
% Chance = 100 * (Energy - 101) / Energy
=============

So if you have very high energy, like 400 the crit chance is 100 * 299/400, which is often.

It is worth noting that other than

Energy Shield builds it is extremely rare to ever spend hard attributes in Energy. The bonus will be entirely from gear and class choices. You are way more likely to crit on a health pots, especially when playing as Barbarian!

thx, that checks out.. 1k mana ovr 5 sec from the pot, plus the natural regen over that time, certainly 100 per sec
